We usually go for the longer cruises out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale but we were looking for one that took us to Key West, since we hadn't been there in years! We booked a Royal Caribbean Ship, Brilliance of the Seas, that sailed out of Tampa. The ships have to be smaller that sail out of Tampa because they have to go under the Skyway Bridge. But, they are updated and come with a big advantage for us....we can get there in less than an hour!
We only had two stops on this 5 day cruise and the first was Key West! Listening to the historical facts on the hop on-hop off Trolley Tour was definitely the way to go!
Had to make a stop at the Kino Sandals Factory where they make the most comfortable sandals of natural leather uppers and natural rubber soles. They are all hand cut, assembled, and glued in their factory in Key West! Be sure to stop, if you visit, you will want to pick up a few pair. So CUTE!
Our second stop was Cozumel where we had a leisurely stroll and ate lunch.
